In a recent appearance on the televised program “Graffiti,” Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz delved into pressing issues facing Poland and Europe, including national defense strategies, His comments come at a time when the geopolitical landscape demands unity and careful consideration of defense capabilities among allied nations.

Addressing President Emmanuel Macron’s declaration that France is willing to extend its nuclear capabilities to Europe, Kosiniak-Kamysz underscored the gravity of such discussions. “Such topics can’t be decided by a single nation; it’s always an allied decision,” he stated, highlighting the delicate nature of strategic defense talks.

“It’s very delicate, very serious matter” – he said.

When questioned about the possibility of reducing military expenditure, Kosiniak-Kamysz reassured that the current budget is “record-breaking” and that ongoing contracts, including those for Korean K2 tanks and K9 howitzers, will be honored. “We will not make your mistakes,” he firmly told representatives of the previous administration, ensuring continuity and progression in Poland’s defense strategy.

Looking ahead, the Deputy Prime Minister projected an increase in the number of Polish military personnel, aiming for around 220,000 soldiers by year’s end. He emphasized the untapped potential of the active reserve as a key area for expansion in bolstering national security.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed Poland’s readiness to cooperate with whichever administration prevails in the United States, distancing from any potential conflicts arising from partisan disagreements. His stance reflects a pragmatic approach to international diplomacy, prioritizing Poland’s strategic interests over political rhetoric.

As Poland navigates through a period of significant challenges, from enhancing its defense capabilities to managing public media within a legal framework, Kosiniak-Kamysz’s remarks on “Graffiti” highlight a leadership focused on strategic alliances, legal compliance, and a steadfast commitment to national and European security.
